Turn read receipts on or off
Choose whether a family sees Seen on the messages they send once someone at the center has opened them. It is on to begin with.

This is the director's setting. It changes what families see, not what you see.

Open Settings, then Families and messages, and find the Read receipts card.

Tick or untick Families see 'Seen' on the messages they send.
- 3.
It saves as soon as you tap it. If the save fails, the switch goes back and the card says so.
With it off, a family's own messages never show Seen. Your side does not change: the center still sees which guardians read the messages it sends.
Questions
- If I turn it off, do I stop seeing who read our messages?
- No. You always see which guardians read yours. The switch only decides what families see.
- Why would a center turn it off?
- So teachers are not pressed to answer the moment they open a message. Families still get an answer, just without a Seen mark rushing it.
