Child care software for Florida centers
The parts of running a center that depend on your state, set up for Florida instead of left for you to build.
Immunizations by your state's schedule
Each child's vaccines are checked against the CDC childhood schedule for their age, so the office sees who is due.
Staff-child ratios in Florida
From Florida Statutes §402.305(4), staff-to-children ratio, with the Child Care Facility Handbook (December 2025, incorporated by reference in rule 65C-22.001, F.A.C.) §2.3. In Farlow you set these bands once, and every room is counted against them as children check in and out.
| Age | Children per staff member | Largest group |
|---|---|---|
| Under 1 year | 4 | No limit set |
| 1 year | 6 | No limit set |
| 2 years | 11 | No limit set |
| 3 years | 15 | No limit set |
| 4 years | 20 | No limit set |
| 5 years and older | 25 | No limit set |
For children 2 and older, the ratio of the age group with the most children applies to the whole group; with a child under 2 in the group, that age's ratio applies (F.S. 402.305(4)(a)7; handbook §2.3.1).
Florida sets no largest group size, in the statute or in the Child Care Facility Handbook.
Read on October 17, 2026 from the state's published rule. The rule itself is what an inspector goes by.
