Child care software for Minnesota centers
The parts of running a center that depend on your state, set up for Minnesota instead of left for you to build.
Immunizations by your state's schedule
Each child's vaccines are checked against the CDC childhood schedule for their age, so the office sees who is due.
Minnesota licensing forms, ready to send to families
7 official forms, fetched from the state's own site and kept in Farlow's form library. Pick one, mark where the answers go, and families fill it in and sign on their phone, with reminders until it comes back. Each name below opens the form on the state's own site.

Staff-child ratios in Minnesota
From Minnesota Rules 9503.0040, staff-to-child ratios and maximum group size (age categories: 9503.0005, subp. 2). In Farlow you set these bands once, and every room is counted against them as children check in and out.
| Age | Children per staff member | Largest group |
|---|---|---|
| Infant (6 weeks to 16 months) | 4 | 8 |
| Toddler (16 to 33 months) | 7 | 14 |
| Preschooler (33 months to kindergarten) | 10 | 20 |
| School-age child | 15 | 30 |
In a group of mixed ages, the youngest child's ratio and group size apply to the whole group (9503.0040, subp. 3(B)(3)).
Infants are never grouped with older children, and a group spans at most 36 months unless all are school-age. The parent, teacher and director may place a child in the younger or older category near a boundary (9503.0040, subp. 3, 4).
Read on October 22, 2026 from the state's published rule. The rule itself is what an inspector goes by.
