Child care software for Utah centers

The parts of running a center that depend on your state, set up for Utah instead of left for you to build.

Immunizations by your state's schedule

Each child's vaccines are checked against the CDC childhood schedule for their age, so the office sees who is due.

Staff-child ratios in Utah

From Utah Admin. Code R381-100, Child Care Centers, R381-100-10 Ratios and Group Size. In Farlow you set these bands once, and every room is counted against them as children check in and out.

AgeChildren per staff memberLargest group
0-11 months (infant)48
12-17 months (younger toddler)48
18-23 months (older toddler)510
2 years816
3 years1224
4 years1530
5 years and older (school age)2040

In a group of mixed ages, the oldest child's ratio applies less one child, and the oldest child's group size less two (Utah Admin. Code R381-100-10(4)).

A mixed group with an infant or toddler has its own conditions (eight or fewer children, at most three under two per caregiver), which the calculator does not count. Two caregivers are needed when the only group on site has more than eight children (R381-100-10(3), (6)).

Read on November 1, 2026 from the state's published rule. The rule itself is what an inspector goes by.
