Child care software for Mississippi centers
The parts of running a center that depend on your state, set up for Mississippi instead of left for you to build.
Immunizations by your state's schedule
Each child's vaccines are checked against the CDC childhood schedule for their age, so the office sees who is due.
Staff-child ratios in Mississippi
From Mississippi 15 Miss. Code R. 11-55, Chapter 1, Regulations Governing Licensure of Child Care Facilities, Rules 1.8.2 and 1.8.3. In Farlow you set these bands once, and every room is counted against them as children check in and out.
| Age | Children per staff member | Largest group |
|---|---|---|
| Under 1 year | 5 | 10 |
| 1 year | 9 | 18 |
| 2 years | 12 | 24 |
| 3 years | 14 | 28 |
| 4 years | 16 | 32 |
| 5 through 9 years | 20 | 40 |
| 10 through 12 years | 25 | 50 |
In a group of mixed ages, the youngest child's ratio and group size apply to the whole group (15 Miss. Code R. 11-55-1.8.2(3)).
Preschool children are not grouped with school-age children. A full group has two caregivers; group sizes do not apply at arrival, departure and special events, the ratios always do (1.8.2, 1.8.3).
Read on October 29, 2026 from the state's published rule. The rule itself is what an inspector goes by.
