Child care software for Alaska centers
The parts of running a center that depend on your state, set up for Alaska instead of left for you to build.
Immunizations by your state's schedule
Each child's vaccines are checked against the CDC childhood schedule for their age, so the office sees who is due.
Staff-child ratios in Alaska
From Alaska 7 AAC 57.505, child-to-caregiver ratios (child care centers). In Farlow you set these bands once, and every room is counted against them as children check in and out.
| Age | Children per staff member | Largest group |
|---|---|---|
| Infants, through 18 months | 5 | 10 |
| Toddlers, 19 to 36 months | 6 | 12 |
| Preschoolers, 3 and 4 years | 10 | 20 |
| Kindergartners, 5 and 6 years | 14 | 28 |
| School age, 7 through 12 years | 18 | 36 |
In a group of mixed ages, the ratio for the age of most of the children applies; with a child under 5 in the group, the youngest child's ratio applies (7 AAC 57.505(c)(3), (4)).
A child 13 or older counts as school age. Group sizes must also meet 7 AAC 57.510 (57.505(c)(2), (d)).
Read on November 1, 2026 from the state's published rule. The rule itself is what an inspector goes by.
