Child care software for Illinois centers

The parts of running a center that depend on your state, set up for Illinois instead of left for you to build.

Immunizations by your state's schedule

Each child's vaccines are checked against the CDC childhood schedule for their age, so the office sees who is due.

Illinois licensing forms, ready to send to families

2 official forms, fetched from the state's own site and kept in Farlow's form library. Pick one, mark where the answers go, and families fill it in and sign on their phone, with reminders until it comes back. Each name below opens the form on the state's own site.

Illinois DCFS, Day Care Licensing

The date by each form is the day Farlow last matched it against the state's site. A weekly check flags any link that stops working or whose file changes. States revise their forms, and the state's site has the current one.

From Licensing Standards for Day Care Centers, 23 Ill. Adm. Code 2008.190, Grouping and Staffing (ages: 2008.45). In Farlow you set these bands once, and every room is counted against them as children check in and out.

In a group of mixed ages, the youngest child's ratio and group size apply to the whole group (23 Ill. Adm. Code 2008.190(c)).

Only these ages may share a group: infants, toddlers and two year olds; two through five year olds; four through six year olds. Children of all ages may be together in the first and last hour of a program open 10 or more hours (23 Ill. Adm. Code 2008.190(d)).

Read on November 1, 2026 from the state's published rule. The rule itself is what an inspector goes by.
