Child care software for Alabama centers

The parts of running a center that depend on your state, set up for Alabama instead of left for you to build.

Immunizations by your state's schedule

Each child's vaccines are checked against the CDC childhood schedule for their age, so the office sees who is due.

Staff-child ratios in Alabama

From Alabama Ala. Admin. Code r. 660-5-26-.04, child care program, staffing (day care centers). In Farlow you set these bands once, and every room is counted against them as children check in and out.

In a group of mixed ages, the youngest child's ratio applies when that age is more than a fifth of the group; otherwise the ratio for the next age up applies (Ala. Admin. Code r. 660-5-26-.04(1)(a)3).

The rule sets no group size. Children under 2 1/2 are grouped apart from older children; a group of 24 to 36 month olds at 1:8 is the exception, and the Department may approve others in writing (660-5-26-.04(1)(a)2).

Read on November 1, 2026 from the state's published rule. The rule itself is what an inspector goes by.
