Child care software for South Carolina centers
The parts of running a center that depend on your state, set up for South Carolina instead of left for you to build.
Immunizations by your state's schedule
Each child's vaccines are checked against the CDC childhood schedule for their age, so the office sees who is due.
South Carolina licensing forms, ready to send to families
2 official forms, fetched from the state's own site and kept in Farlow's form library. Pick one, mark where the answers go, and families fill it in and sign on their phone, with reminders until it comes back. Each name below opens the form on the state's own site.
South Carolina Department of Social Services, Child Care Regulatory Services
- General Record and Statement of Child's Health for Admission (DSS 2900) (2 pages, checked )
- General Record and Statement of Child's Health for Admission (DSS 2900, Spanish) (2 pages, checked )
The date by each form is the day Farlow last matched it against the state's site. A weekly check flags any link that stops working or whose file changes. States revise their forms, and the state's site has the current one.
Staff-child ratios in South Carolina
From South Carolina S.C. Code Regs. 114-504, child care center supervision and staff:child ratios. In Farlow you set these bands once, and every room is counted against them as children check in and out.
| Age | Children per staff member | Largest group |
|---|---|---|
| Infants, birth to 12 months | 5 | No limit set |
| One year olds | 6 | No limit set |
| Two year olds | 8 | No limit set |
| Three year olds | 12 | No limit set |
| Four year olds | 17 | No limit set |
| Five year olds | 20 | No limit set |
| Six to twelve years | 23 | No limit set |
In a group of mixed ages, the ratio for the age of most of the children applies; with an infant or toddler in the group, the youngest child's ratio applies (S.C. Code Regs. 114-504.B(2), (3)).
The rule sets no group size. Nap time and swimming or wading have ratios of their own (114-504.C, D).
Read on October 29, 2026 from the state's published rule. The rule itself is what an inspector goes by.
