Infant daily sheet
The page a parent takes home at pickup: when the baby slept, what and how much they ate, each diaper change, their mood and what they did. It holds the five things Texas requires in an infant's daily report.

What the rules ask for
- Texas (26 TAC §746.2431)“You must provide a daily written or electronic report to the infant's parent when or by the time the infant is picked up from the child-care center. The report must contain: (1) Times the infant slept; (2) Times and amount of food consumed; (3) Times of diaper changes; (4) Infant's general mood for the day; and (5) A brief summary of the activities in which the infant participated.”
Among the seven states whose rules we have read (California, Florida, Maine, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Texas), only Texas requires a daily report for infants, and its rule for toddlers asks for a plan to talk with parents instead. Elsewhere this sheet is simply what parents of babies ask for.
Or send the day as it happens
In Farlow, teachers log bottles in ounces, naps with start and end, and diaper checks from a phone. Families see each entry as the day goes, with an end-of-day summary.
